Hi
I have a YT video playing in a Fusion Slide. When I visited my website this morning it seems like the video controls are suddenly showing even though the “hide video controls” box remains checked in the Fusion Slide settings.
Avada theme updated
All plugins updated
Caches purgedAnyone have a suggestion of how to fix this?
Thanks
I see that this post is a couple of years old, but I just came across this issue in the last couple of days and found a solution. Figured I’d share with anyone else trying to find out how to use a background video in Avada that does not show controls without self-hosting it.
The problem:
1. Uploading the video to my media library and loading it on the home page cause my hosting bandwidth requirements to jump 22x. At scale, that’s a major pain.
2. I tried YouTube, Vimeo (even upgraded to Plus), and Cloudflare Stream. None of them worked. I could hide the controls on some devices, but not all.The solution:
Sign up for a free Amazon S3 account, upload your MP4 into a bucket, make sure you uncheck the box that blocks public access, and then copy/paste the file URL into the Avada option for MP4 video. Done.
Hope this helps someone!
Brilliant, thanks Brandon! Just came across this thread trying to display vids in a background without any controls whatsoever desktop or mobile. This solution works perfectly and was incredibly easy to set up. It just works. So glad you posted, even though the OP originally posted back in 2018…and now I’m coming along at the end of ’21. Cheers, definitely helped this “someone”!
