    Hey guys!

Got an old client on my lap that someone else made a site for.
Now it appears that it hasn’t been updated for a long time and PHP updated on the server to 8.0 which crashed the site.

We reverted back to PHP 7.4 and the site is now working.
But regarding upgrade to the latest version av Avada on this page
Reading the guides but there’s only explainations for 5.9.1 and the site is running 5.6.2.

Which is the best upgrading solution you think ?
Is it best to first do an upgrade to 5.9.1 and then go for the latest?

    thank you!

    Best regards,
    M

    Hello M

You will still need to follow the same guidelines in this case, you should be able to update from 5.6.2 to 5.9.1 and then move ahead as mentioned in the document post 🙂

    Thanks

    Hey Ammar and Martin,

Pretty much in the same situation here. @Martin, if you go ahead with the upgrade, could you let me know if the steps from or to 5.9.1 caused any breaking changes, or if the website continued to look and behave the same on the user-facing side 🙂

    All the best,
    Wilhelm

    Hello @willhelm

We have users who are updating from version as old as 2.x so you should be good to go as long as you follow the instructions above 🙂

    Thanks

    -Ammar
