Upgraded to 7.9.1 and updates are taking forever

After the new install, basic text/just routine updates are now taking FOREVER! Every time when using any elements of Builder, there is a 10-20 second delay before being able to continue and make edits. In addition, I’m having problems saving from the live editor. Please advise how to correct this.
