Update from WP: 4.7.14 and Avada: 5.1.6 without https

Hi,

I have a static homepage with WP: 4.7.14 and Avada: 5.1.6 without http. I want to update to the newest version and activate the https. Is this a Problem or can I click and update?

Why should there be a problem? as far as you follow our update instructions mentioned here => https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/install-update/important-update-information/

maybe because the version is a bit to old etc. I had a problem like this some years ago with joomla. I missed some updates and it was not possible to update. So thanks for help.

And can I just switch on hhtp after update?

We do have a step update method for versions that are as old as 3.x and you can actually read it here => https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/knowledgebase/updating-avada-older-versions/

however for any version that is 5.x you should be able to update directly to 6.0.3 and regarding the activation of http, I am not sure what exactly does that mean?

I mean i not use SSL/TLS on my page. But I want to. Now you can find my page under: http:\\www.—– for the future I want https:\\www.—- with a SSL/TL certificate.

Oh, yeah sure you can install SSL whenever you want to and that has nothing to do with the theme update, regarding the WP or Avada update first, I will suggest updating WP first 🙂
