We’re currently using Avada’s Privacy feature (i.e., banner) together with SiteGround’s SG Optimizer plugin and Cloudflare’s Full Page Caching (via SG Optimizer).
Every time a website visitor clicks on our website’s banner “ACCEPT” button, the banner is closed and the result is cached (globally) by Cloudflare’s Full Page Caching. The result is the banner no longer displays for other visitor’s until Cloudflare’s Full Page Caching is cleared (not cookie expiration date).
The only solution we have found that works is to bypass cache for the injected Avada cookie called “
privacy_embeds.” Unfortunately, when we do this, our website is no longer cached by Cloudflare rather by SiteGround which is a lot slower than Cloudflare’s caching/speed capabilities.
Also, SiteGround has recommended that we contact ThemeFusion to see if Avada’s banner can be abled/disabled via JS (similar to other banners in the market) and not via cookies. Not a coder so not sure if this makes sense.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue? If so, did you find a solution? Please share!
