Our home page has our recent posts and when we have an image in the article with a caption it show in the excerpt and I don’t want it to. I can move images to the bottom of articles but I don’t want to. There must be a workaround. NOTE this caption is NOT on the feature image but under an image inserted into the text block of the post.

Sorry the theme is on our company intranet so I can’t link to it

I also can’t get the excerpt size to adjust at all using the fusion tools for some reason. I am running the newest version of Avada and am up to date through the last WP update (need to update to 5.2.1 but have to have the IT dept and haven’t yet) And it isn’t even consistence, with some posts showing 50-60 words and another shows 90!

Did you check the obvious where there’s text in the caption field for the image?

Go to your Media Library. Find the image that has a caption. Click on the image to view its properties. See if there is text in the caption field.
