I am wanting to update our Avada install from 4.0.2 to 5.6.2 but there is no Auto Update option for Avada in the Updates tab of wordpress. WordPress thinks there are no updates available for 4.0.2. I’d rather not update via FTP since I don’t want to mess anything up and I’m not super savvy. Theme Fusion documentation says that we should be able to auto update to 5.x (5.0?) and then generate and enter the new single registration Token to update to 5.6.2. But as I said above, WP thinks Avada is up to date. Suggestions?

I can’t update our Avada install from 4.0.2 to 5.6.2 because there is no Auto Update option for Avada in the Updates tab of wordpress. WordPress does not think there are any updates available for 4.0.2.

My Avada theme is registered but I don’t have access to the Themeforest download page that purchased the Theme.

Theme Fusion documentation says that we should be able to auto update to 5.x (5.0?) and then generate and enter the new single registration Token to update to 5.6.2. But as I said above, WP thinks Avada is up to date. Suggestions?

I have the same issue with Avada version 4.03. I can’t find where to download the update and that is not shown in the instructions.

The problem is your steps don’t work… I also can’t auto update from 4.0.3 on a client’s site because Themeforest no longer allows you to use the old API key. It just says “Something went wrong. Please verify your details and try again.”

You need to update your help steps or provide a 5.0 update file so we can continue in the process of updating an older version of Avada. We all have active licenses but relying on the Auto Update that no longer works is not a solution you should be telling people to follow.

    Hello @conceptzero

Thanks for your feedback on this, we will be looking into this further and see why the 4.0.3 update method is not working as expected, meanwhile I am sending you a ticket on the registered email address so if you have not updated yet please let me know there and we will send you a copy of 5.9 version to update further.

    Thanks

I have the same issue. The update documentation doesn’t work as conceptzero said. I tried the FTP route but it does not accept the license key.

    Hello @Rstupplebeen

The the API key update method does not work anymore and has since been removed from ThemeForest actually, in this case you will need to use our alternate manual step by step method and we have detailed documentation on how you can do this step by step here => https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/installation-maintenance/updating-avada-older-versions/

    Thanks

    Hello @Swellhair

What do you mean specifically? which problem occur? there is no need for you to pay for support in order to get Theme Updates, they are FREE for lifetime for everyone who purchased an Avada license, just something to note regarding the updates.

    1. If you are on version 4.0.3 or below you will need to use this method to update manually step by step upto version 5.9.1 => https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/installation-maintenance/updating-avada-older-versions/

    2. If you are on version 5.9.1+ you can update using our Auto Update method but make sure that you have registered your theme and that you have a default WP 2020 or any other theme installed as mentioned here in our document post => https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/installation-maintenance/how-to-update-the-avada-website-builder/#autoupdate

This is everything that you need in order to get Auto Updates for Avada.

    Thanks

    -Ammar
