solved this. make sure you use this format for your button link:

https://www.youtube.com/embed/vidID?autoplay=1

then set button target to lightbox.

Hi everyone,

This problem has bothered me for a long time, I asked technical support in December 2020, they reply the autoplay option only applied to Youtube/Vimeo element.

Today I thought of an alternative method, for example:
1. Create a blank page, I call it “video page”, and then remove/turn off all appearances, such as menu, header…
2. Add a button element to the homepage, and then link to the blank page “video page”, and set the button target to Lightbox.
3. On the blank page “video page” to add a video element, then link the self-hosted video and set Autoplay to Yes.

In this way, you can use the Lightbox effect to show your self-hosted video automatically.
