Ok Michael, let me try again in plain English.
I had Avada 5.9.1 and everything was working fine.
I update to version 6.0.1 and my main front page doesn’t load anymore the correct way. I now have massive vertical gaps between containers.
Now, I did not change anything else other than update Avada from 5.9.1 to 6.0.1! Is this clear?
I have just reported to you that the two builders that now Avada has, have discrepancies between each other and that makes people site behaving funny, as other people both here and in the comments on Themeforest have already reported to you. I never mentioned any developer tools and all I said is that in one builder a box set to yes behave one way, while the same box makes the other builder behave differently. What I also said was that in the Live Builder I notice the word “special” written in the CCS class option of the container, were at the same time the word was not there in the original builder. I don’t see what’s so hard to understand..
To get my main front page to load properly I had to turn off option in the new Live builder, while with version 5.9.1 those options were perfectly fine using the old builder.
I can’t explain this any better..
On a different note, I think the new Live Builder will be a great success, once all the bugs are out, so, thank you.

I am not trying to be obnoxious here. I am just trying to fully understand. In particular this is the part I am asking about (and must have misinterpreted in my last response):
“I have just reported to you that the two builders that now Avada has”
Which are the two builders you are referring to? You mean the back-end editor and the new live editor? In which case do you mean the CSS class here (back-end editor): http://prntscr.com/oqkeel ? If so, they most definitely should be 100% the same in terms of values saved and stored.

Yes for the two builder I mean the old original Fusion Builder and the new Live one. They don’t always match.
Also, as now reported by geoffmahiques just above
His problem is the same as what I had.
centre content in the container options set to “yes”
I had to set it to no in the Live builder for the page to show correctly.
Originally in version 5.9.1 I had it set to YES and it was working fine, but in version 6.0.1 having the option set to Yes gives you massive empty vertical spaces between containers..

I just found another bug.
Since the updates, the FAQ’s “category” listed in the backend of the FAQ’s page no longer works.
If I use Fusion Builder to edit the text and save it, it does show the word “active” under category
If I use WP editor to edit the text and save it, it does show the word “off” under category
Either way it doesn’t show which category the FAQ does belong any longer.

Thanks, that makes sense then. The equal heights issue is a bug on the regular front-end in 6.0 (but may appear to work in the live editor depending on timing, so sometimes may work others may not). We will fix that for 6.0.2. Note, if the option was on already then you will likely want to turn it back on after fixed. For the two editors, they should definitely be the same (they read from the same saved source and save to the same source). So if a CSS class is set on the container in one, it will be set in the other as well.
For the FAQ, can you explain that a bit more? Right now I am struggling to understand where you mean exactly. For single post FAQs on the back-end you should have something like this: http://prntscr.com/oqvin0 or do you mean the FAQ element instead, eg http://prntscr.com/oqviwb? If possible please provide a screenshot of the section you mean.

You can see in the picture, that I’m referring to the backend list of FAQ’s.
Now, if I change editor in the actual FAQ post from regular WP to Fusion, it will show the word active instead of off.
Either way it doesn’t show what category the FAQ actually belong..
You can also see that some FAQ don’t show anything at all, just a dash –
The frontend works just fine

I have a slightly different issue whereas the header/menu shows up twice.
This happens on the homepage (the 2 menus seperated by the header image) until you scroll, then the very top of the 2nd header remains (until you scroll past it) and the ‘sticky menu items’ drop below the sticky header.
On all other pages, the 2 menus show right on top of each other and there is no sticky menu….
You can view this behaviour at https://www.paulsimpson.net.au/
I would greatly appreciate some help with this please.

It looks very likely due to child theme customizations. There are a couple of duplicate forum threads you can find more information for that. For example here https://theme-fusion.com/forums/topic/header-repeats-post-update/eivindfsParticipantAugust 27, 2019 at 7:41 pmPost count: 6
I’m also experiencing significant layout issues after upgrading to Avada 6. Not sure what’s going on. I am going to revert.Ammar. SKeymasterAugust 28, 2019 at 8:07 amPost count: 656zacomicParticipantSeptember 10, 2019 at 4:05 amPost count: 1
I have the Avada version 6.0.3, all patches applied, and I have problems with my layout when:
I edit with the “Old” Fusion Builder and save the changes, is a mess.
How I solve the issue?
If I open the New Live Editor and make any change and save, all the layout come back to order.
Maybe one code have more relevance than other and when “save” one editor overwrite the code! I Don’t know what is the explanation 😀 I am just discover this funny bug.
Maybe this is the reason for some user says “Discrepancies” between editors.

This is actually strange to hear as both old Fusion Builder and Front End Fusion Builder both uses the same syntax and there is actually no change there, anything you save from Front End Fusion Builder should still work flawlessly on back end and vice versa, please try disabling your 3rd party plugins in this case and see if that makes any difference.

For one of my customers i ran into the same problem. After I updated to 6.1 the blocks showed only in mobile mode (one above the other), the logo was repositioned.
Turns out it was the minify function of W3 TOTAL CACHE that breaks some code.
Hope this helps you guys.
