LayerSlider Reponsive solution that won't break the page load speed?

Hey,

I have LayerSlider activated, using the “Hero shot” option -> this option cuts the slider on the fold on every device. This works well, except the mobile version of the slider is too small, and cannot be read.

I tried adding 2 additional sliders respectively for small and medium screen sizes. This works ok-ish, however, this way the page load speed bumps by 2-3 seconds, as all slider images are being loaded, no matter the device.

Is there any simpler option to get a good responsiveness for my sliders? I can’t even install the revolution slider for some reason.
