LayerSlider doesn't work with WP4FB Plugin
mrdtpMemberMay 19, 2013 at 10:04 am
I need help with Avada theme built in LayerSlider to work with my plugin called wp4fp which is use for creating fan pages on Facebook using WordPress. When I add the shortcode of the created LayerSlider it doesn't show up. You can see it for a quick second sometimes but it disappears. I've tried wp4fb with another theme and my own purchase of LayerSlider and it works find. So the issue is with your theme which I really like to use. Here is the link to the fan page and wordpress page:

There is a massive amount of plugins out there on the market. Each and every one is created by a different developer who uses their own techniques and code. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that everyone of them will work with our theme. When an issue arises, we will certainly try to do what we can to fix it though. The best thing to do first is to report the issue to the plugin developer because they know their own code better than we do. Let us know what the plugin developer reports back and we will see what can be done!

I was told that I should make support here on this forum for Avada Theme. The problem is with the theme because I tested my plugin which is WP4FB and also the plugin LayerSlider which is a single purchase from Codecanyon.net. Using both plugins work fine together but the LayerSlider that is incorporated with Avada Theme doesn't work its hiding this div:
<div style="width: 800px; height: 500px; left: 0px; right: auto; top: 0px; bottom: auto; visibility: visible; display: none;"><img src="http://artecucinekitchens.com/2013website/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/fb_pedini.jpg" style="width: 800px; height: 500px; margin-left: -400px; margin-top: -250px;"></div>LukeKeymasterMay 21, 2013 at 1:11 pmForum Moderator
Hi There 🙂
Please make sure you are comparing the exact same plugin versions with both themes. Most likely there is a version difference and that is the cause of the issue.
Ive assigned this to Muhammad and he wil check. But that is the first thing he is going to ask. And please triple check the versions. For Avada, go to "avada > framework > plugins >Layerslider > layerslider.php file and look at the top for version number. And make sure you know which version of Avada is installed, if you are using 2.1.3 then its Layer Slider 4.1.1
Also, please respond with your WP and FTP login info and mark it as private.

Can you please link me to your WP-admin page along with wp-admin info? Also, did you try using LS without visual composer plugin?LukeKeymasterMay 22, 2013 at 2:12 pmForum Moderator
Also, on this other theme that had both plugins working, what was the version of the Layerslider plugin and the version of the wp4fb plugin?mrdtpMemberMay 23, 2013 at 12:25 am
LayerSlider version with other theme used was: version 4.5.0
wp4fb version with other theme used was: version 2.0LukeKeymasterMay 23, 2013 at 1:40 pmForum Moderator
I would hope then that the new update coming in about a week will help, it will contain the new layer slider 4.5+
Your WP login info above is not working, please double check it.
Also, what version of the WP4FB plugin are you using on Avada? Is that also different than the other theme? Its very important to ensure both are the same versions, if not that is most likely the cause as things change form version to version.
Let us know 🙂LukeKeymasterMay 23, 2013 at 8:00 pmForum Moderator
Ah Ok, I thought you were using it with a premium theme. Twentytwelve is a basic theme with no added features and functions. It can serve as a basis for testing, but for something like this its not comparable. Avada has tons of features, sliders, scripts, etc that are added into the mix, it could be one of those that is having the conflict, which does not mean its Avada or the plugins fault, its simply a conflict.
Whenever a plugin conflict comes up, we try to do what we can about it. But we are unable to guarantee that it works. In a situation like this, we ask that you email the plugin developer as they know their own code and have dealt with plugin support in these situations.
Muhammad is going to take a look at this as well, but please email the plugin developer also and explain the situation. Even more so since its a paid plugin and not a free one that we can freely test and ensure compatibility. Let us know what they say and Muhammad will also reply.

Thanks for all the help I do think that the issue is with the WP4FB Plugin now. I will contact the developer.
Best regards,LukeKeymasterMay 24, 2013 at 1:45 amForum Moderator
Its possible both ways, and most likely just a conflict with one of our features. But the plugin dev would be able to tell that faster. Either way we will do what we can to get it working 🙂nicolastergiopoulosMemberJuly 15, 2013 at 10:09 am
