How to combine Footer Widget Columns?

Hi I need to combine either Footer Widget columns 2,3,& 4 or else at least 3 & 4
There are no options that I can find to do this, please can someone explain how to achieve it either using CSS or other means?

I don’t mean setting just 3 columns or 2 columns, I want to leave column 1 set to a quarter width, but combine the second and third column to make a wider column next to the narrow first one…
