In a recent effort to improve my Core Web Vitals, I’d like to put my Font Awesome use on a diet. I originally looked at a replacement with SVGs, but since I have an FA Pro subscription, I do have access to their Subsetter tool, which means I can make a subset of FA which just has the icons I need. This tool makes a ZIP file (containing /css, /js, / js-packages, /less, /metadata, /otfs, /scss. /sprites, /svgs, and /webfonts). Sadly neither FA nor Avada gives any instructions on how to put this on my Avada site. I see that Avada has support for custom icons (with a Icomoon ZIP package), but is that the same format as produce by FA’s Subsetter? Do I then use that and turn off the standard FA option in Avada? And, finally, will my FA tags need changing?
