Hi,
I’m trying to follow this theme fusion tutorial https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/technical/google-conversion-tracking-with-the-button-element/ to add a conversion tracking in analytics for some buttons.
This tutorial however confuses me a bit.
For example, this code should be customized with my url
data-ga-url='https://example.com/your-link'
Which url? The url of the site or the url of the webpage where the button is?
Reading further I have the impression that all the buttons in the website will be tracked like this.
I have the necessity to track only certain buttons. In some pages, that are all “siblings” pages, a button points to an url. The url is an external resource, and it varies from page to page. I need to track this action, the click on that button. How can I do this? can someone please explain?
please help, I only need a small tip…
Did you find your answer? I’m stuck with it too…
the data-ga-url should be the url where the button points
what if the button is a form submit?
I know this is an old post but I am facing a similar issue and no answer has been given so I am bringing it back to surface!
