Why do Avada licenses have to be such a nightmare to find? I have over 20 clients using Avada, and all we see in our accounts is purchase codes, item codes, and license numbers, none of which are connected to the domain names anywhere I can find, even though I have registered them all. If you wanted to have happy customers you would post a simple list somewhere in our accounts with the associated domain names instead of pages of PDFs.
Specifically, I bought a couple of licenses out of over 20 that now say they are already registered to another site. But they aren’t and the registration page won’t tell me what domain is using that license.
Hello @ipblue
We have actually changed our registration setup post 7.3 version of Avada and when you update towards that version there is a re-registration required and in some cases users might see a message if the specific license is assigned to any other site already, in order to solve this we have provided our customers an option to reset their licenses and re-assign them again to the domain of their choice from scratch.
Avada does give users an option to add all their purchase code to their support account. Once the purchase code is added to an account, it will list all the codes added and the domain against it in a simple list format, all of this is also mentioned in our document post here => https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/support/changes-to-registration-with-avada-7-3/ and also in our FAQs here => https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/video-tutorials/avada-registration-and-licensing-faq-video/
I see that you have a valid support, to assist you with this in details I am sending you an email on the account associated with your username, please check it so I can further explain it to you.
Thanks

Hi @ammar, I am having a license issue, my local dev MAMP site had been registered correctly, then, I had some issues with the install and had to trash the whole site. I made another local site and that same code won’t work, as I never was able to un-register it. I login to my account here and the unregister staging button doesn’t seem to do anything. I clicked it for this domain and the page says
“Unregistering the purchase code on the current staging domain.”
After that, nothing changes. No success or error message, and nothing on the screen changes. Assuming that despite that it did do it, i go back to my new local site, try registering the same code, and get the same thing as before: “The purchase code has been registered too many times. Please contact ThemeFusion to resolve.”
My support is expired and hopefully I can get this fixed without renewing. I have been using Avada on so many sites with so many clients, and I cannot always have all accounts with active support all the time.
What can I do for this? I really need to be working on what I started, today, and I am stopped completely.
Thanks for your time.
Hello @benjaminblue
I found two purchase codes on your account and indeed they needed a reset, you should have been able to do that from the support account without any issues, please know that local is not a staging site so you will need to click on Unregister site as well, I have now done that and you should be able to use the same purchase code on your local again now.
Thanks

Hello Ben
You are most welcome 🙂
Have a good weekend!
Thanks

Not sure if this helps, but if you go to https://theme-fusion.com/support/account/ and click on the “register purchase code” tab, you can paste in all your different licenses and it will tell you what domain name is using that code.
You can then unregister a site if you want by clicking the “unregister” button, and use that code for another site.
