Hi,
I succesfully created a Avada child theme in the past.
In the WP Admin section: Themes, was showing both the Avada theme and the Avada-child theme.
After updating WordPress to version 5.0 the Avada theme not showed in the WP Admin section Themes anymore.
Only the Avada-child theme showed in that section.
Besides on the Admin Themes page bottom is displayed following note:
Incomplete themes
The following themes are installed, but incomplete.
Name Description
Avada Child The theme defines itself as its main theme. Check the Template header. RemoveNext to this I tried to add some custom CSS to the style.css file of the Avada-child theme and this not work.
When I put the same custom CSS to the style.css of the Avada theme then it works.
QUESTION 1
Why is the Avada theme not showing on my WP Admin page: Themes anymore after WP update to 5.0?
QUESTION 2
The Admin Themes page notice:
Name Description
Avada Child The theme defines itself as its main theme. Check the Template header. This is the current Template header:
/* Theme Name: Avada Child Theme URL: https://avada.theme-fusion.com/ Description: Avada Child Theme Date: 19-11-2018 Author: J.G. van der Horst Author URI: https://www.j-dsgn.nl/ Author Email: info@j-dsgn.nl Company: J-dsgn Webdesign & Ontwikkeling Template: Avada Version: 1.0.0 Tags: instituut, preventie, gezondheid Text Domain: Avada-child */
How to solve this Template header issue?
QUESTION 3
When I remove the Avada-child theme with the function to delete it on the Admin Themes page will this resolve in showing the Avada theme again ?
