I was able to fix this problem. Turns out when you replace the value of a Title Element with the dynamic content “Title”, the default value of that Title Element (which is automatically “Your Content Goes Here” if you don’t click into the edit box) still shows up in the excerpt. The solution was going to every page, taking the dynamic content off, clicking into the edit box (which removed “Your Content Goes Here”) and then re-clicking on the dynamic content and resetting it to Title.
Ideally it’d be nice if title elements are set to dynamic content, this default value should be automatically nothing.
