No, it is not a way at all for someone to buy 6 months support, this is indeed an issue with customer re-registering an already registered purchase code, also we have given full control to every customer on how this can be reset simply from your own support account, this does not require a valid active support at all, we suggest you to please read our documentation that explains it all in details here => https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/support/avada-registration-and-licensing-faq/

You can simply go to your Support Account > Purchase Code tab and then unregister it from there to register it again once and this does not require an active support account.
