Building Post Content With Fusion Builder Elements

In Fusion Builder, you can add any container or element wherever you are in the editor. Having a large amount of content is no longer an issue, and you won’t have to scroll to the very top of the editor to add containers, columns or elements. To learn how to utilize the new Fusion Builder’s efficiency, continue reading below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The new Fusion Builder explained below is only available in Avada versions 5.0 or higher.

Adding Elements

It’s now easier than ever to add elements to the page, no matter how much content you have. When you hover below every Container, you’ll find the ‘+ Container’ and ‘+ Columns’ buttons. Clicking ‘+ Container’ adds a new section directly below the current one you’re in, and clicking ‘+ Columns’ adds a new column within the section you’re currently in.

How To Add Containers

Step 1 – When creating a new page, you’ll see a ‘+ Container’ button which you can click to add a new Container with columns to the page.

Step 2 – When editing an existing page, hover over the very bottom area of the editor, and a ‘+ Container’ button will appear. Click the ‘+ Container’ button to add a new Container with columns to the page.

How To Add Columns

Step 1 – When creating a new page, insert a Container first, you’ll see the ‘Insert Container’ window will appear. Select the column layout or the single column that you’d like to add to the Container.

Step 2 – If you’d like to add more columns to a container, hover over the very bottom area of the editor, and a ‘+ Columns’ button will appear beside the ‘+ Container’ button. Click the ‘+ Columns’ button to bring up the ‘Insert Columns’ window where you can select column layouts or a single column to add to the Container.

How To Add Elements

Step 1 – Once you’ve added a Column, click the ‘+ Element’ button inside a column and the ‘Select Element’ window will appear.

Step 2 – In the ‘Select Element’ window, you’ll find a list of elements you can use. You can also use the search bar in the upper right corner of the window to search for the element you’d like to use.

Step 3 – Once you click on an element, it will automatically bring you to the options window for that element.

Step 4 – Once you’re finished customizing the element, click the ‘Save’ button to insert it into the page, or click ‘Cancel’ to cancel adding the element and return to the Fusion Builder editor.

Collapsing And Expanding Containers

To better organize your content, you can also collapse / expand all or individual Containers. You can do this by clicking the ‘collapse/expand’ icon found on all Containers and the main Fusion Builder toolbar. Clicking the ‘collapse/expand’ icon on the main Fusion Builder toolbar collapses/expands all your existing sections, while clicking it on individual sections collapses/expands that particular section only.

In addition, you can click the ‘Containers’ title to give it a custom name. This will help with identifying which section is which.

Sticky Toolbar

The new Fusion Builder features a sticky toolbar that follows you as you scroll down the editor. This gives you quick access to all the tools and icons on the toolbar, such as the Library tab, the Custom CSS field, and your History States. You can also quickly save the page layout you currently have as a template, or delete it entirely using the Fusion Builder toolbar.
