How To Install Avada Via WordPress
There are two ways you can install the Avada theme. You can choose to install it via WordPress, which is what will be outlined in this article, or via FTP. Before you can install Avada, you need download the necessary theme files from your ThemeForest account. Continue reading below for more information.
Downloading Avada Theme Files From ThemeForest
If this is your first time downloading the theme from ThemeForest, we recommend downloading the Full Theme Package to receive additional files such as Revolution and Layer Slider documentation and the classic demo .PSD files only. If you've downloaded the Full Package before and already have these files, then you can just the WordPress Installable File which is smaller in size.
How To Download The Avada Theme Files
Step 1 - Log in to your ThemeForest account and navigate to your 'Downloads' tab and then locate your Avada theme purchase.
Step 2 - Click the 'Download' button and choose to either download the 'Installable WordPress file only', which is just the WordPress installable file, or choose to download 'All Files & Documentation' which is the full Avada theme package.

How To Install Avada via WordPress
Step 1 - Navigate to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Themes.
Step 2 - Click the 'Add New' button on top of the page, then the 'Upload Theme' button.
Step 3 - Click 'Choose File' and find the theme files you’ve just downloaded. If you’ve downloaded the installable WordPress file, then you do not need to unzip the file. If you’ve downloaded the Full Theme Package, you have to unzip the master Avada.zip file, therein you will see a secondary Avada.zip file, this is the one you select to install.
Step 4 - Once the file has uploaded, to activate Avada go to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and click the Activate button.
Step 5 - Once you activate Avada, you will be redirected to our Welcome Screen (Avada 3.8 and up). You'll find a prompt to install Avada's required plugins, Fusion Core plugin and the Fusion Builder plugin. Click here to learn how to install Avada's required plugins.
1.) 'Are You Sure You Want To Do This?' Error
If you get the "Are You Sure You Want To Do This" message when installing Avada.zip file via WordPress, it means you have an upload file size limit that is set by your host. If this happens, please install the theme via FTP or contact your hosting company and ask them to increase the limit.
