Avada 5.0 Is Landing Soon!

Avada 5.0 has an awesome ring to it, and it has been ringing in our ears for quite some time. This update includes an incredible list of new features that are not just features, they aim at making your life easier. And that is something we are extremely excited about. Avada 5.0 is a very special update packed with several new features and improvements that make it the most historical update in our history of updates.

Avada 5.0 is now live and is FREE to anyone who has purchased a license in the past. Comments are now turned off on this post as all new ones are support questions, please use our ticket system for any questions you have, sign up by following these steps.

Avada 5.0

This historical update contains many new features and improvements. We take our customer relations very serious and constantly get new feedback on various aspects of the theme.

Each and every portion of feedback that comes into us is tracked and organized and plays a big part in what we release with each update. Avada 5.0 is the culmination of many things.

Ultimately usability of a product is of the highest importance. Avada 4.0 brought us the new Fusion Theme Options Panel with a user interface that our customers love and saves a lot of time while building a site. That is what we consider a major usability enhancement, and we strive to continue making similar enhancements with each update.

We are excited, thrilled and blessed to bring you Avada 5.0. Below are the highlights of this update, but they are only a glimpse into what Avada 5.0 really includes.

The New Fusion Builder

This incredible update contains many new features and improvements. But high above anything else sits the brand new Fusion Builder.

Over the years we have had several feature, functionality and improvement requests for Fusion Builder from our 432,340+ user base.

To make Fusion Builder into the page builder that everyone requests, and the codebase our team envisions, required us to build it brand new from the ground up. This was a decision made back in 2015 and has been worked on by a portion of our team for a long time, and now the entire team is focusing on it to ensure it is ready for our next major update, Avada 5.0.

The new Fusion Builder will change your outlook on what a page builder can do.

In fact, the new Fusion Builder has so much to talk about that it needed it’s own post to show off all the bells and whistles. Check out all the details of the new Fusion Builder below.

View The New Fusion Builder

Fusion Core Codebase Clean Up

Fusion Core is our companion plugin that runs with Avada. A huge portion of Fusion Core was the Fusion Builder. However, in Avada 5.0 the new Fusion Builder has been separated out into its own individual plugin as it should be.

This has allowed us to extensively clean up our Fusion Core plugin codebase. A lot of code has been removed from it making it light weight. While Fusion Core still holds features of Avada like the Fusion Slider and more, it will continue to change as our ambitious plans continue for 2016. These plans are exciting and will continue to make Avada more and more modular.

Avada Demo’s & Premium Plugin Offloading

When we add new things to Avada, many factors are taken into account; usability, support, interface, customer feedback and more. As you know, Avada contains the most advanced options system in any theme on the market.

Our options network allows you to build virtually any type of design with one theme.

Demos will continue to be added with each major update. However, each new demo that we add makes the overall Avada zip file larger. The typical hosting company only allows about an 8-10MB file to be uploaded via WP admin.

We often get support requests for this issue because some of our customers cannot install Avada.zip through the WP admin because the zip file is larger than what the hosting company allows. With that being said, it can easily be installed via FTP and our team will help you do that, or you can ask you host to up the file size limit.

However, we aim to please and do everything we can to avoid that scenario. This is why we built a brand new system for “demo and premium plugin offloading” via the new Envato API Token key registration. Everything will look the same once registered (see the next section in regards to new registration process), but behind the scenes, the registration process has changed.

In Avada 5.0, we’ve built a new system based off the new Envato API that allows any demo we create to be installed outside of the theme zip via our own server. So instead of including all the demo content inside the Avada zip file, we keep it on our server. In addition, the two premium plugin we include (Slider Revolution and Layer Slider) will work with this new system.

When you click to install a demo or install/update a plugin, it pulls all the content from our server and installs it on yours. Not only does this bring the size down of the theme zip fie which will help a lot of customers, it is also faster, more efficient and allows for easier future maintenance.

With demo offloading, the Avada zip file has dropped more than 75% in overall size.

To allow demos and plugins to be offloaded requires a token key from the new Envato API, which leads us to the next item.

Envato Token Registration For Auto Updates & Demo OffLoading

Currently we offer auto updates which requires a Themeforest username, purchase code and API key. This is what we currently consider “product registration” and it is based off the previous Envato API which involved 3 steps. This was required back before the new Envato API was made and it looked like this:

Recently Envato has updated their API which has very nice improvements. The improvements allow theme authors much easier ways to implement auto updates so we have taken advantage of this and added token registration.

Token registration simply requires one field (not 3) and is much easier to setup. It is based off the new Envato API and allows for a faster, more reliable setup.

To generate a token, you simply have to log into your Themeforest account, click the link we provide you and generate a token key. Then copy and paste the token key into the field and voila, all is done!

Once you have setup your token, you have access to auto updates and demo offloading. Below is how the new registration field via token implementation looks.

One field with one token, takes care of both the demo installation and the auto update. Its a beautiful, simple thing. The only bad news we have is that anyone who previously registered via our old method, now has to re-register via the token method. But we assure you, this is an advancement.

This new token format is easier, more reliable and covers both product registration and demo offloading. In the end, it is for the advancement of the product and easier usability.

We tried many things to circumvent customers having to re-register and worked closely with Envato on this. Unfortunately, the new Envato API does not provide a way to move old registration to the new token format.

What does this mean for those who already setup registration through the old method?

Anyone who updates to Avada 5.0 and has previously registered for auto updates must setup the new token format. You will no longer see the old method, it will only display the new token format. We understand that can be frustrating for those who registered already, however we did our best to avoid it but it was simply not possible and out of our hands.

New Visibility System for All Fusion Builder Elements

In our current version of Avada, we have some elements (full width containers “now only called Containers”, columns and image frames) that have a “hide on mobile option”. While this is useful, it is incomplete. Avada 5.0 brings a full visibility system that takes everything to the next level. Every element you can use with Fusion Builder now has “visibility options” that include 3 settings; mobile, tablet, desktop.

This system allows you to control what your viewers see on any screen. For example, on desktop you may have a lot of content to show in tabs, but on tablets and mobile it takes up to much room. You can now select to show the full set of tabs on desktop, and then show shortened versions of them on tablets and mobile.

Below is what you will see for every Fusion Builder element.

EDIT: due to development changes, the options are now called small screen / medium screen / large screen.

As you can see, there are 3 options and each one acts like a toggle. In the above example, this content is set to show on tablets and desktop, but is hidden on mobile.

Every element can be hidden or changed to display exactly how you want it on mobile phones, tablets and desktop. This visibility system opens up incredible possibilities for how you display your content to your viewers.

In addition, we will be adding new breakpoints to determine when mobile and tablets should break (more on that later!). In theory, the possibilities are endless!

Advanced Option Network Correlation

This title may not be obvious as to what it means when you first read it, but we are very excited about it!

Avada has the most advanced options system in any theme on the market. It consists of Fusion Theme Options, Fusion Page Options and Fusion Builder Options. All of these options work together to allow you to build unique, professional sites.

As you know, Fusion Theme Options are global options, meaning they affect every thing throughout your site. However, Fusion Page Options and Fusion Builder Options override the Fusion Theme Options on a per page or per element basis.

This concept we built allows ultimate flexibility in page creation. For example, you may want all your buttons to be square and blue throughout your site, yet one page needs a special button that is round and red to grab the users attention. Our advanced options network allows you to easily to that with globals vs overrides.

However, since the options network consist of globals vs overrides, it’s vital to know what is set for globals. What we’ve done in Avada 5.0 is made it clear what is currently set in the global Fusion Theme Options so you always know when building a page.

This is what we call option correlation and it is built into each description that offers both a theme or page option, or theme and Fusion Builder option. Below is what it looks like.

In the above example we used button size and button span options from Fusion Builder. As you can see in the description, button size is set to Large and button span is set to No. Those are the options that are set globally in Fusion Theme Options, and they link directly to the exact panel in Theme Options in case you want to change them quickly. However the choices made in Fusion Builder are button medium and span yes so they override the Fusion Theme Options.

This small but important change will save you a lot of time and effort, and make option selection even easier.

Previously to figure out what was set globally, you had to navigate away from the page, go to Fusion Theme Options panel, find the right area and change it. Now in Avada 5.0, the global settings from Fusion Theme Options are displayed in the description of each option. This basic concept is a real advancement in Avada that will help you better understand the options network and save you a lot of time.

Save / Manage / Import / Export Custom Color Schemes

In Fusion Theme Options there is a general “Color” tab that has pre-defined color skins. Often times customers start off with one but have to change several color settings to get their colors exactly how they want them. All of that is a normal part of building your website.

However currently there is no way to save your own color scheme unless you back up your entire theme options panel. Avada 5.0 includes a proprietary system that allows you to save, update, delete, import or export your current color scheme. The color scheme is basically any color option that is within Fusion Theme Options. Colors play an extremely important role in how your site looks. Being able to fully manage your own custom color schemes is a major step forward in option management.

Check out how this new system works below.

Each of the 5 buttons (Save, Update, Delete, Import, Export) act as toggles and will bring up a new section to complete the desired action. In this above example, we are saving the current color options as a new scheme.

And custom color scheme shows up as the same icon that represents a custom color combination, but when you hover over the icon it shows you the custom name.

There is no limit to how many custom schemes you can have, and you can import and export so you can share them with friends and clients when needed.

New Professionally Designed Demos To Import

What’s a new major Avada update without new demos? We must have new demos and Avada 5.0 will not disappoint.

There are several demos that are either finalized, being finalized or in the process of being built. Because of the constant flow of demo work, we cannot guarantee at this point how many will be included in Avada 5.0, however we can assure you that at least 2-3 new demos are coming, and hopefully more.

These demos are like all other demos, professionally made by designers using our advanced options network.

We put a high importance on demos and have a constant flow of them being made because they truly show the power of Avada.

The varying designs we offer and features each one presents shows you what can really be done with the #1 selling theme on the marketplace. In addition, they are so easy to import. We built a custom importer that imports the entire demo for you with just a few clicks.

Using a pre-built demo, which is created by professional designers is an incredible way to get started in building your own site. Import a demo, then simply change out the content.

At the same time, you can easily build your own site from scratch using all the features Avada includes. Avada can be what you want it to be.

Additional Features, Improvements And Enhancements

While the above items are considered major new features, there are always additional features packed into major Avada updates.

We’ve started making our entire options network with the same user interface that you see in Fusion Theme Options via Avada 4.0. Although it will not be fully done in 5.0, a lot of it will be.

For example, the new interface you see in Fusion Theme Options is now carried over into the new Fusion Builder options like below.

All Fusion Builder elements that contain child elements, for example Tabs, have an entirley new user interface that is much easier to use. Each child element can now be reorganized into position via drag and drop. For example, if you have a tab element on your page and it contains 3 different tab sections, you can now easily drag and drop all 3 into your desired order.

And each child element is custom named based off the content you enter, so it’s very easy to know which child element it is. This new feature applies to any element that offers child items (tabs, content boxes, toggles, checklist, counter circles & boxes, etc.). This alone is a major time saver and quality of life improvement while using certain elements in the new Fusion Builder.

Additional features that Avada 5.0 includes are …

    • New theme option to set a separate color of the menu text for the sticky header
    • Column spacing is no longer “YES or NO” but can be set with an exact pixel amount
    • New responsive breakpoints to set pixel values for content breaking in responsive modes
    • Popular blog shortcode now has an option for post ordering
    • Portfolio page layouts now have options to display the portfolio title and categories
    • Portfolio text layouts now have options to choose text alignment
    • Portfolio text layouts with boxed mode now have full padding optons
    • Continued and dedicated codebase refactoring

While all these new features are being added, our development team takes our codebase very serious. Each new update contains several areas that have been refactored so the codebase stays clean, organized, optimized and efficient.

These under the hood changes are things that most customers will not notice, yet are highly important to our team because they allow us to more easily add new features, changes and future improvements.

We are dedicated to making the #1 selling theme also the best coded theme on the marketplace.

Avada 5.0 Release Date & Beta Testing

We like to keep our customers informed and up to date about what is going on internally and when they can expect it. At the same time, the nature of development can change at the drop of a hat so we’ve decided to not give out estimated release dates until we are in the final stages of development.

We are working diligently and around the clock to get everything done, ensuring all beta items are taken care of, testing everything we can possibly test, performance test, etc.  That is our normal process for major updates.

We do everything in our power to ensure a solid release, and that takes multiple rounds of beta testing. If you wish to be a best tester, please see this post about what is required for beta testing with us.

ThemeFusion is dedicated to you, our customer. Everything we do is for our customers and our product. We want to continue and push the boundaries of what a theme can do. We want to continue and offer the best support around.

Our dedicated team here at ThemeFusion understands this and truly thinks with one mind and one goal. We know there is always room for improvement, and we push ourselves to the limit to bring you these improvements with each new update.

    We hope you enjoy it!

Please note, the current version is Avada 5.5.2

I left a comment on the other post about Fusion Builder and Yoast SEO.

Will go check out the beta testing post. I am vision impaired myself and use a screen reader so interested to check out accessibility options. Fusion Builder goes beyond what accessibility can achieve but great to check out the rest of settings and operations.

      • Luke June 30, 2016 at 2:55 pm

Thanks Dale! While v5.0 is not fully accessible ready, we are working towards it in the near future!

    3. Zvi Talit June 30, 2016 at 6:24 am

These are indeed all great news.

i wanted to ask should we expect (or not) Avada to be A11y ready?

      • Luke June 30, 2016 at 2:54 pm

V5.0 will not be but we are working towards full accessibility.

    4. Vince Balk June 30, 2016 at 9:37 am

Neither can we 😀 We’re so excited about it, coming soon! 3-4 weeks of beta testing and then it should be live.

    6. karll June 30, 2016 at 6:55 pm

Wow, you guys just keep on giving. So excited to try out the new fusion builder. Keep up the amazing work…

“Options Correlation ” – Worth its weight in Gold – this is a great Enhancement …digging into a client site with lots of page updates, this kicked my ass for a few hours…..having this now will be awesome.

Just one many great new features and updates.

      • ThemeFusion Staff July 4, 2016 at 3:25 am

We fully agree, this is a major time saver and is only the beginning. This is an amazing feature for those who are building sites.

        Thanks for the comment!

    8. Ahmad Imran July 3, 2016 at 11:00 pm

Luke – great news and a die-hard Avada fan. Few of my articles are ranking in Google for Avada reviews and people have been recommended by me to use Avada. I am an advocate of minimalist design and I have tried to achieve it on my website with Avada.

One request please if you could please forward to the development team. The inclusion of autho-bio + some key meta info at the top of the blog post just under the title. The best examples are Smartblogger.com and Buffer blog. I have asked it a few times but nothing is being done in this regard. And there is no proper plugin for that either. I am told, the theme developer should be able to do it easily.

So in essence, a couple of lines of author bio (with picture) along with last update tag (not published date) and perhaps category/tag options as well.

Thanks again for giving us Avada and keep up the good work.

      • Luke July 4, 2016 at 3:16 am

        Hello Ahmad!

Nice to hear from you and thank you for the feedback. Basically you are asking for multiple authors per blog, correct? We do have this on our list so it will be added at one point. Our dev team and plans for 20-16 are pretty solidified but I will see what I can do to get it worked in.

        Thanks again!

        • Aaron C August 2, 2016 at 3:59 pm

          Obviously, you don’t have to approve this post, but this is just in reply to Ahmad’s comment – I think he means like this;

See how the author’s name and such is right below the title.

          • Aaron C August 2, 2016 at 4:00 pm

All the remaining “About the Author” stuff is at the bottom, but the byline is near the top.

            • Luke August 2, 2016 at 6:01 pm

Yep understaood now, thanks (y). It is a nice option and changes up the single post page, we have an item to add several new features to the single post page that will allow you to create various new designs.

          • Luke August 2, 2016 at 6:00 pm

Ah I see, yeah that is the meta data line and we do not have an option to move that underneath the title/main featured iamge yet, but do have plans for it. One of our layouts does this already though, at least on the main page / archives: http://avada.theme-fusion.com/large-alternate-right-sidebar/

      • Aaron C August 2, 2016 at 3:57 pm

I second this – the meta under the title. Every time I update Avada, there’s only one change I make – to move the simple line with author, date, and # of comments that element just under the title.

        • Luke August 2, 2016 at 6:05 pm

          Coming after 5.0 🙂

    9. Bench July 5, 2016 at 6:04 am

I’m new with WP and I’m very impressed with Avada. I can’t wait to see the upcoming release. Say I make the purchase for the current version, would the purchase grant me update/access to the 5.0?

      • Luke July 5, 2016 at 4:33 pm

        Hello Bench!

Yes if you buy it now, all future updates are 100% free 🙂 So you get all these awesome updates we make several times a year.

    10. Victor Fernandes July 5, 2016 at 6:45 pm

      5.0 looks awesome. Excited

      • Luke July 6, 2016 at 11:53 am

    11. Shawn July 8, 2016 at 3:21 am

If I am currently running version 4, can I easily update to version 5?

      • Luke July 8, 2016 at 12:18 pm

Yes for sure, we always plan on updates. Our 230,000 userbase already uses Avada and needs to udpate 🙂

    12. Frank July 8, 2016 at 12:08 pm

      Advanced Option Network Correlation +1
This is gonna save me a lot of time!

      • Luke July 8, 2016 at 12:21 pm

Fully agreed, we’re excited about that one!

    13. John A July 8, 2016 at 11:22 pm

The new Fusion Builder is great news! Kudos on all the work you guys are putting into Avada!

However, I’ve been using WP for years now, and have been using Visual Composer for the sites I’ve built. It would be a bit difficult to switch from VC to FB, which might be a bummer. Any idea on an easy way to do this once you guys roll out the new FB?

      • Luke July 10, 2016 at 2:17 am

        Hey John!

We understand, it’s tough making a switch. But I will say we are working on something to help VC users move to FB, however it will not be ready for 5.0 release and it not promised to be completed.

It depends on many factors, however when you use the new FB you will love it 🙂

    14. Boris July 12, 2016 at 4:24 am

Will Avada 5.0 be code optimised for page speed and integrate well or replace plugins like W3 Total Cache and so on to achieve high Page Speed and Yslow scores.

      • Luke July 12, 2016 at 1:17 pm

        Hi Boris,

Avada’s codebase now is already optimized for speed. Codebase optimization is something that every theme author has to keep changing and improving as technology changes, codebases are forever being refactored. At the same time, right now Avada’s is most certainly optimized especially with our CSS compiler.

Themes will never include caching options like W3 Total Cache. That type of thing belongs in a plugin itself, and any theme you use you should always use a plugin like that to bettter your overall page speed. That is just the way of websites 🙂

For example, our largest demo which is the classic demo and it scores in the 90’s on both Google Page Speed and GT Metrix and ySlow.

        Google Results:

        GTMetrix Results:

There are several things that lead to a slow site, and our support center has many resources to help you understand them.

Here is one post to help you get started:

    15. kanipolat July 13, 2016 at 2:36 pm

I do have a maintenance mode problem for upgrading from 4.0.1 to 4.0.3. So, will it still be possible upgrading from 4.0.1 to 5.0 ?

      • Luke July 13, 2016 at 6:28 pm

Yes but you should allow us to look at that because it should not happen. Please submit a ticket here:http://theme-fusion.com/support-ticket/

        • Kani Polat July 23, 2016 at 1:24 pm

I managed to slove it. Thank you for the advice. I look forward to see the new version…

          • Luke July 26, 2016 at 6:37 pm

            Awesome, sounds great!

    16. Bryan July 13, 2016 at 8:00 pm

When will 5.0 be available? I want to buy, but I’d prefer to have the new release rather than upgrading in the middle of a site build.

      • Luke July 15, 2016 at 2:12 pm

        Hi Bryan,

Unfortunately we cannot give a date for release, only estiamted. We estimate by middle of August, but please keep in mind development changes daily and while we have deadlines, our concern is to make sure everything is as solid as can be. We also beta test with 200 customers that is going on now, but again, we’re still about 4 weeks out from an actual final release. When we have an RC, we need at least a week to update all our demos and do final checks, etc. We’re getting there!

    17. Al July 19, 2016 at 11:20 pm

Avada really sounds like a good theme, and I’m considering purchase! I was wondering:

1– Does it make sense for me to buy and start building my site now (with the current version of Avada)? Would the upgrade to version 5.0 cause any major problem or issues to my content or to how the website looks

2– Also, if I may just check this: Is the upgrade to 5.0 free?

Thank you very much in advance!

      • Luke July 20, 2016 at 3:20 pm

        Thanks for the interest!

        1. There is not a need to wait, part of our job is to ensure our 235,000 users who already use Avada can update to newer versions. We take backwards compatibility seriously.

        2. If you have already bought Avada, then the update is free for that site you bought it for. keep in mind, themes sold on ThemeForest are one license per project. So if you need it on 4 projects, you would have to buy it 4 times.

        Thanks and happy building!

    18. jeff July 20, 2016 at 3:49 pm

How can I sign up to be a beta tester?

    19. Derek July 22, 2016 at 3:46 pm

Will Avada 5.o and the upgraded Fusion Builder plugin both be PHP 7.0 compatible?

WPEngine’s PHP 7 compatibility plugin test’s for Avada and Fusion Builder are both inconclusive because they time out due to taking too long.

      • Luke July 26, 2016 at 6:46 pm

Yes our initial tests were fine. We use WPE ourselves so I’ll make a note to check it out before release, but yes the plan and changes made have already been done to make it compatible.

    20. Simon Rühl July 23, 2016 at 2:29 pm

Hey, how is it going with the update?

I actually think about buying a new theme, that we want to use in August… But I would wait if the Frond-End editing will be implemented by then and buy another license of Avada. So… you think it’s coming within the next 10-14 days??

      • Luke July 26, 2016 at 6:35 pm

        Hello Simon!

It is hard to say when it’s coming. It could be within 2 weeks, but I unfortunately cannot promise that at all. We expected end of July to middle of August and it appears it will be towards the end of that estimation. Our goal is to get it done as fast as we can, we certainly do not want to waste time and make users wait 🙂 But at the same time we have to make sure all is well and that our user base has an easy time of updating.

    21. Erik July 25, 2016 at 2:34 pm

I’ve been unfortunately frozen on 3.8 for a bit given code complication/errors when trying to update to any of the 4. versions because of some custom work we had previously done in our header. What happens when 5.0 rolls out? Will I be able to update?

      • Luke July 26, 2016 at 6:33 pm

        Hello Erik!

Sorry to hear this, have you opened a ticket with our staff to allow us to help? Follow the steps here: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/avada-theme-support/

If you modified the original files then unfortunately there is no much we can do, this is why we include a child theme with the main download for anyone who is adding custom code. Always best to use a child theme.

If this only deals with custom CSS, then that is because 3.8 had refactoring of css classes to improve overall maintenance and compatibility with other WP products. So classes were prefixed with “fusion-” instead of just “tabs”. That is just an example, but either way if original files were modified and not made into a child theme, 5.0 will not be different, but I highly recommend asking our support team for help.

    22. Susan Finch July 26, 2016 at 4:50 pm

I love Avada and have come to rely on it as my go-to- theme. Is that bad? I know there are others, but your level of support and continued development keep me buying more licenses for clients. Looking forward to implementing 5. I may have to finally switch over my own site (sigh) – cobbler’s children…

      • Luke July 26, 2016 at 6:31 pm

        Hello Susan!

        So happy to hear this!

Is that bad? Heck no!!! 😀 We love it and what we strive for with each customer. Avada is loved by our team, we constantly improve it, add requested features and have amazing plans for it. It will only grow and grow into higher heights 🙂

    23. Magnus July 28, 2016 at 8:07 am

We’re on Avada v3.9.3 right now.

Will I be able to upgrade directly to v5.0 without first landing on v4?

      • Luke July 28, 2016 at 2:30 pm

It is recommended to always stay up to date and not jump several major versions in a row. So if you can, you should update to v4 first. However, we have taken measures to ensure if you are on a 3.x version and go directly to 5, that it will work. But do note, both 4.0 and 5.0 have a migration that has to happen.

        4.0 – theme option migration
        5.0 – fusion builder conversion

So yes it should be fine, but we recommend always staying on top of updates, it greatly reduces the chance of anything going wrong, as in all software.

    24. Nestor August 2, 2016 at 2:28 pm

I`m so excited about this update.

It`s awesome being a theme-fusion customer, its like buying a car once, and keep getting a new car every once in a without additional cost.

Sometimes you are sitting at home, and then the dealership comes to your house and say:

Hey, do you want this brand new leather seats for your car? it`s free.

Thats its what it looks like being a theme-fusion/avada customer.

      • Luke August 2, 2016 at 6:16 pm

        Hello Nestor!

We love to hear that 🙂 That is what drives us each day, we put in long hours to make Avada better and better for each customer that has bought it, and updates are always free. Love it!

        Thank you!

    25. Tom August 2, 2016 at 2:35 pm

Sounds great. Is the upgrade going to affect our current content and modifications in custom css?

      • Luke August 2, 2016 at 6:13 pm

        Hi Tom!

Not as long as it was done the proper way 🙂 If custom css is in theme options, then no it will not be touched. If you modified original theme files, for example changing one of our php files, then that is not good as it will be replaced upon update. If you need to mpodify theme files then it’s best to make a child theme, which we do include a starter child theme in the main download.

If you bought an Avada license, you can always signup for beta testing here: https://theme-fusion.com/forums/topic/avada-beta-testing/

    26. Manuel August 2, 2016 at 4:59 pm

Just being curious, is the old page builder short tag syntax fully compatible with Avada 4?
Will Avada 4 be updated or is it going to be a new theme to buy?
Am I better of with waiting for Avada 5 to be released or can I buy an Avada 4 license and update?

Looking forward getting the new 5. Waiting for it in the store. If you need any betas let me know.

      • Luke August 2, 2016 at 6:14 pm

Avada 5.0 is an update from Avada 4.0 ,so if you already bought Avada then you get the update for free as always 🙂

    27. Geoff Powell August 3, 2016 at 1:46 am

Great post! Sounds like you aren’t resting on your laurels Luke. Good to see. There are some awesome new features on offer here. I’ve been away on holidays but I’m looking forward to getting back into it and exploring the new version. Sounds awesome as usual!!

      • Luke August 3, 2016 at 5:40 pm

Thanks Geoff! We’ve been working around the clock to make sure this release is solid, it really is a leap forward for the Avada customer base. Very exciting!

Keep enjoying your vacation, talk soon!

    28. Dee August 3, 2016 at 9:09 am

      Hey there,

Just bought Avada 4.0 a few weeks ago and have been preparing my old site for migration – wondering though? Should I hold off before starting and wait for the Avada 5.0? I’m getting some custom CSS added to the site (adding fonts, Superfly Menu plug in.)

It sounds a treat with demo content offloading not included in zip file. Does that mean the site’s pages & media library won’t be loaded up with content you might not need, thus neccesitating mass deletion?

Should I hold off beginning my new site and wait for the 5.0 version?

Any thoughts on this would be most welcome. Thanks!

      • Luke August 3, 2016 at 5:36 pm

        Hello Dee!

There is no reason to hold off, the choice is yours! We have over 235K+ people who will be updating 🙂 Just make sure if customizations are done, they are done properly. If you modify theme files then you need to do it via child theme. Adding custom css can be done via child theme or the custom css field in theme options.

    29. Madeline August 3, 2016 at 2:20 pm

Hi Luke, is there still a plan for a new gallery element? I thought I read this somewhere previously.

      • Luke August 3, 2016 at 5:29 pm

Last update we added a gallery id to the image frame element, that allows you to create a full lightbox a gallery out of any image frame element on the page. For example: http://d.pr/i/157kx …. see it live on this page

However, we do still have a much deeper plan for a new product that will be worked on once we finsih with the next few major updates.

    30. Siddhesh Khavnekar August 5, 2016 at 6:46 pm

      Hi Luke,

I am currently running a blog http://www.joamos.com on another theme and i am planning to buy this theme to be used on my site. I have two questions.

Will this theme be perfect match for my kind of website (content is mostly blogs and embedded videos, etc)
I am looking to use your theme to create a customized home page and blogs pages (articles) with different categories.
Is it SEO ready? Can I can add META tags to each post i publish? Please confirm on this.
Also as i understand 5.0 is around the corner. Should i wait for it or go ahead and buy 4.0 and later upgrade?

      • Luke August 8, 2016 at 2:46 pm

It’s hard to say if it would be a “prefect” match 🙂 But yes according to hat you outlined it should work just fine! Yes it’s SEO ready and you can use Yoast SEO plugin for enhanced SEO control and add meta tags to each post.

Yes 5.0 is nearing completion, although we are not sure exactly when as we have finished all items and have securely tested everything. Developement can unfortunately take longer than expected, one item you think will take 3 days can end up taking two weeks because of things that come up, that is the nature of dev.

But part of our job is making sure our 240,000+ user base can update to new versions without issue, so there is no reason to wait, it’s totally up to you 🙂

    31. Slade Grove August 7, 2016 at 6:06 am

Any update to the actual release date for 5.0?

      • Luke August 8, 2016 at 2:27 pm

We are thinking this month, but we do have to make sure everything is perfected. Development changes on a whim due to many factors (legacy issues, BC, refactor, etc), just the nature of it. If you have bought an Avada license in the past and would like ot help us beta test new versions, you can always signup for beta testing here: https://theme-fusion.com/forums/topic/avada-beta-testing/

When it is ready, we will certainly announce it everywhere, we are very excited for it 🙂

    32. Mic August 8, 2016 at 8:05 pm

Please take your time and release only, if rock stable.

      • Luke August 9, 2016 at 1:25 pm

We’d never do anything different 🙂 That is why our estimated dates are always off. It’s a bit frustrating we know for customers, since they ask, we give them our best guess, but that’s about all we can do. We’d never release a major version that was not fully tested by us and our 200+ beta customers and every issue found taken care of.

    33. adminifhta August 12, 2016 at 11:10 am

I Love the Avada Theme but wish for some improvements with other plugins. Hope you have a look at layouts The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe (and a talk with them) as the current layout leaves a lot to be desired.

      • Luke August 12, 2016 at 3:34 pm

We talk with Modern Tribe weekly at leasts, and have a great relationship with them. Have you seen the design integration we offer for Events? http://avada.theme-fusion.com/church/events/ … we typically only offer one set of design integrations, then add customization options to it so users can style it in different ways. Compare that to the basic Events plugin, it’s a major difference 🙂

    34. multihands August 13, 2016 at 3:45 pm

i’m a divi user but tried avada on a site, and i think it is great, but the woocommerce part…. hope you improve it.

      • Luke August 15, 2016 at 12:26 pm

Thanks for the comments! what exactly do you feel should be improved? We pay close attention to all our competitors and we offer more options and designs for WooCommerce than any other theme. Just take a look at these two demos to see how different WooCommerce can be, all with the touch of a few options.

They show a major difference in design, and that is what Avada is all about. Design options that allow you to build what you need, without knowing how to code. In addition, we keep close relationship with WooCommerce and work together to improve products for our mutual customers.

    35. Mark Roy August 16, 2016 at 10:27 pm

When I explain to a customer that I will be using AVADA to build their site, and when they ask me why, I simply tell them that it is the best supported and used theme ever. When updates from wherever are updated especially WooCommerce, I know that I can count on AVADA to have the right things fixed and easily added to the site.

It’s like having a support back room that worries about all the things that a designer doesn’t even want to deal with.

You are all part of my team.

      Thank you for everything.

      • Luke August 17, 2016 at 5:26 pm

        Hey Mark!

Thanks for this comment, I’ll be sure to share it with our whole team! This is certainly something we strive for and we want to nourish and enrich our relations with each customer, and that happens on all levels of what we do every day. Fantastic to hear.

        Thank you!

    36. NH August 18, 2016 at 3:52 pm

I am new to wordpress and was impressed by the Aveda wordpress and was planning to buy the template but noticed that there is a new ver coming soon. Should I wait for the new version ? and do you have any discount code or promo code

      • Luke August 18, 2016 at 6:20 pm

The theme is sold on Themeforest so tehy do ont offer any discounts unfortunately.

About updating, the choice is yours, we have a suer base of almost 250,000 users so we make sure that updating goes smoothly because anyone who previously bought it will need to update.

        Hope this helps!

I am preparing a new project. I want to implement it on a new Awad 5.0.
I’m waiting for Awad 5.0 comes out. Can you tell me the approximate time of release?

      • Luke August 19, 2016 at 2:16 pm

Unfortuantley we cannot give an ETA, we’re getting close though! If you have bought an Avada license in the past and would like to help us beta test new versions, you can always signup for beta testing here: https://theme-fusion.com/forums/topic/avada-beta-testing/

    39. Jasmine August 20, 2016 at 2:30 am

      Hi Avada,

I really like the Avada theme it gives website owners like me the chance to have a professional looking site without having to learn coding or spend a lot of money on hiring developers. And the support is the best customer support ever.

I do have one concern. Since my website is my business (lots of affiliate offers), its important that a user on any given browser/device can access it. I notice my website is scrambled on certain browsers such as browsers on free phones or cheap tablets….
Either way, this is still a very nice theme with all the features it offers.

    40. Jasmine August 20, 2016 at 2:41 am

      One more thing,

Will Avada be adding the sticky scroll feature for the sidebar? Where the sidebar will scroll down as the user gets to the bottom of the page.

      • Luke August 21, 2016 at 12:55 am

Not yet, but a sticky sidebar is coming soon!

    41. Jenn August 20, 2016 at 6:04 am

Excited to take a spin with 5.0!  I’m most excited about performance improvements..the 75% reduction to the zip file is awesome..good on you guys 🙂  Looking forward to the efficiency of customizing content as well.

      • Luke August 21, 2016 at 12:55 am

WE are as well, thanks for the comments!

    42. Pushkar August 20, 2016 at 6:49 pm

I recently purchased Avada theme (about a week ago). Then I learnt about Avada 5.0 coming out. Will that be a free update or will I have to buy the new theme altogether? I’m hoping it’s the former but wanted to confirm.

      • Luke August 21, 2016 at 12:56 am

Yes all future updates are FREE 🙂 We work vert hard at constantly making new udpates based off user requests and new features, if you bough it once, you get future updates fro free for that one site it is used on.

    43. Mario August 21, 2016 at 8:27 am

I purchased your theme and tested it on my local server. I like it and I will switch over – now you ‘re gonna launch Vers. 5.0! What do you recommend – should I wait until the new version is there (time runs out – end of September is deadline) or should I run the current version now?

    44. MB August 24, 2016 at 2:49 pm

Any news on release date for version 5 🙂 ???

    45. Vladimir August 26, 2016 at 11:19 am

Do you plan to integrate AMP and maybe Schema.org into Avada directly?

Maybe not with 5.0 but in the future?

      • Luke August 31, 2016 at 10:24 am

Yes absolutely for Google AMP, and exactly as you said not in 5.0 but our plans are for 5.1 or slightly later than that. I cannot promise when, but it is on our priority list.

For Schema, we radually add more rich snippets to Avada 🙂 More will always come.

    46. Adrian August 30, 2016 at 10:24 pm

happy with my avada 4.0 but 5 is more then welcome with all these features

      • Luke August 31, 2016 at 10:20 am

Awesome happy to hear that 🙂 Avada 4.0 is still a market leader, but hey, we’re never settled with that and always want to give you guys more!

    47. JA August 31, 2016 at 9:12 am

      Hi Luke,
News about release? I know that you have apologized for the delay, but it’s been a while since the proposed release date (end of July).
Any date or estimate will be greatly appreciated, as we are planning quite a number of projects depending on Avada 5.0 🙂

      • Luke August 31, 2016 at 10:17 am

Yeah unfortunately we simply underestimated the build from the start, which is our bad. Nothing else but simply underestimation, we’re still working on a few last items before we get an RC to test with beta group. once we get an RC! it will be much closer, unfortunately I cannot tell you when because I do not want to be wrong 🙂

Glad to hear you have lots of plans for 5.0! You can always upgrade as well, that won’t be a problem. Unless you are waiting on specific 5.0 features for those projects … trust us, we want this awesome update out as much as anyone, it will be well worth the wait.

    48. Chris August 31, 2016 at 5:32 pm

Will there be some kind of “Agency License” or any other form of discount if I purchase more than one license?

      • Luke September 2, 2016 at 5:14 pm

Currently there is not as we sell exclusively on Envato, so they set the price and license.

    49. penjetti September 1, 2016 at 1:01 am

So basically, I think you are saying that we probably won’t have Avada 5.0 out in the next two weeks, correct? I am having issues with Fusion Builder on the home page and was waiting for 5.0 so that I could actually save changes on my home page…

      • Luke September 2, 2016 at 5:11 pm

We cannot say exactly when but we are very close. If we say next week or two weeks, then something comes up in dev unexpected, then everyone gets upset that we missed the date 🙂 So we’re not giving out dates anymore because of the nature of development .

For your issue, that should not happen and works fine in older versions of Avada … definitely submit a ticket here: http://theme-fusion.com/support-ticket/ … our team will gladly help 🙂

    50. Atef Raouf September 5, 2016 at 2:40 pm

How will the new builder integrate with the WP Toolset from On The go systems? (WPML developer)?

They had a special integration module for Avada that is designed for the old fusion builder.

      • Luke September 5, 2016 at 11:56 pm

We work directly with the WPML team and have them on our beta testing group and assume they are fully testing 5.0 out with anything they offer for Avada.

    51. marcogaliazzo September 5, 2016 at 8:49 pm

      Hi Luke,

any chance to be included in the betatester group?

The more feedback you can have on the RC, the best product you will have.

Please consider opening it or giving a chance to subscribe

    52. moscd September 6, 2016 at 12:48 am

I was wondering if there is a tool that might help me update some values in for example any theme element such as the counter circle or counter box or progress bar by connecting to a DB and fetching those results in the page. it will be very great if that tool was added to the theme

      • Luke September 6, 2016 at 12:38 pm

I’ve not come across a tool that can do that, at least for elements/shortcodes. Sounds like a neat idea though, especially if it’s used throughout many pages or posts and can be changed one time.

    53. Ellie September 8, 2016 at 7:13 pm

I am wondering if the Avada 5.0 will have the same kind of interactive real time editing functionalities that the recent release of Elegant Themes? Can you please confirm?

      • Luke September 8, 2016 at 8:25 pm

        Hi Ellie!

Fusion Builder is certainly interactive and shows you a WYSIWYG editing experience. I believe you are referring though to front end editing vs backend editing. Fusion Builder will first release as back end editing, however it does show you a preview of what you are building and allows easy drag and dropping, etc. The front end editing will be coming after 5.0, but is already in the works 🙂

    54. Michael September 12, 2016 at 8:29 am

Still no release date for v.5?

      • Luke September 12, 2016 at 12:12 pm

        Hi Michael,

The RC will be released as soon as our team completes the full round of internal testing.

This includes testing everything from the changelog, top to bottom fusion builder testing, testing all the new processes in various ways, testing conversion and imports on 4 different low end hosts that can cause problems due to low resources, and possibly the updating of our live demos, which would come last in our testing. All of this takes time.

We’d prefer to give everyone an RC that is fully complete and not missing our new demos + the demo importer itself. However, doing that requires us to update the live demo multi-site and export every demo newly because of the new FB structure. Old content from before v5 will not work with v5 unless it undergoes conversion, which is why all demos need updated to v5 before you can import them. This is also why when you test, you go through a conversion.

While we expected it to be this week, it’s taking longer and we are being patient and very thorough at this point which everyone will be thankful for in the end 🙂 We are all super excited about releasing this, but most importantly, about it being a solid release since it is our biggest update ever.

We are working around the clock and even on weekends in various ways to get this done. This update involved every department from development, design, marketing, support, documentation and videos.

    55. Michael September 12, 2016 at 2:05 pm

Thanks Luke for the detailed explanation. Sounds like something really big is coming the way. Keep on the great work.

      • Luke September 12, 2016 at 2:20 pm

Thanks Michael, you are most welcome 🙂

Our tests are going well and we’re getting through them!

    56. Mark Roy September 13, 2016 at 5:06 am

I just contracted last Thursday to build another site using AVADA. I explained to the client that when we purchased the theme for his site that we will be getting the update to AVADA 5.0 very soon, but I’m moving forward to get the site designed and started.

I registered the AVADA purchase as instructed in the Product Registration area and received:  Registration Complete! Thank you for registering your purchase, you can now receive automatic updates, theme support and future goodies.

Now that this is recognized and in the Product Registration area of the AVADA theme, will this update automatically to AVADA 5.0 when the update is released?

      Mark W. Roy

      • Luke September 13, 2016 at 12:05 pm

        Hi Mark!

Happy to hear you’ve chosen Avada again, that’s great 🙂

Yes product registration will show the theme update to v5.0. But just to be clear, it follows WP’s standard of updating, meaning it always takes user interaction. When an update is ready, it shows under the updates tab in your WP admin area here: http://d.pr/i/19fCq

That is the notification area for updates for both theme and plugins, when you see that you can click on it and you’ll see what themes and plugins in your install have an update ready, then just follow the prompts. Also as a side note, WP only checks for updates once every 12 hours, so an update can be out, but it may not show in the admin area for 12 hours.

    57. mb September 13, 2016 at 3:41 pm

Luk you talked about front end editing how soon after version will that be embedded ??

After looking at divi as someone wrote on this page i must say thats a very very cool feature to have.

      • Luke September 13, 2016 at 7:31 pm

Hey MB, we already have designs made and the base of the builder is in 5.0, which is part of the entire process 🙂 We understand that many of our customers prefer editing in the backend, because there are many WP features/functions that will always be there, so they will wish to do all editing there as well. But the rebuild of FB has always been done to extend it and continue growing it, front end editing is the next step of that. It is already being worked on in many ways, and the team will be focusing on it immediately after 5.0 release. Unfortunately though we do not give out release dates, but rest assure, it is coming and will be the best one on the market 🙂

    58. Gideon September 14, 2016 at 3:40 pm

Any news on the release date? Asking, as it is almost 2,5 months since the announcement.

      • Luke September 14, 2016 at 8:01 pm

        Hello Gideon,

Yes it’s a huge update, and we’ve been beta testing it for some tie to ensure all is well. We do have aRC1 already made and our beta testing team of 300+ is currently testing it. Basically as you will see in the article now, we underestimated the release date, and will no longer be giving out an estimated date. Estimated dates are too dangerous because of the nature of development, it can change quickly.

But the bottom line is we will never rush anything to just get it out, we test and test, then test some more. Then we have our beta testers test it, especially for such a major update like this. All tests are going well, and we are nearing the end. It will be well worth the wait 🙂

      Hello! Tell me please.
I want to buy Awad. But I have four sites. Can I buy a license and use Awad on four sites?
      Thank you

      • Luke September 15, 2016 at 1:28 pm

Yes you can, however each site does require it’s own license based off the rules for Envato, which they make the license rules.

    60. Anders September 15, 2016 at 10:55 am

You should learn from this, its better to say a new lanch coming in december and give your users better news if you can make it to december.

I have waited for 1 month for this release now. I probably end up using another template than avada since the information is simply unrealiable.

      • Luke September 15, 2016 at 1:28 pm

I’d love to know what exactly you are waiting for in this release that you cannot do with the current version of Avada? This new release will have a new Fusion Builder, which is the main focus but the current one works well and has been the #1 selling theme for 4 straight years. Updates are free also, so I do apologize but I’m simply not understanding why that would be a factor, besides the inability to wait for an exciting release 🙂

    61. Katharina September 16, 2016 at 8:15 am

      Hello Luke,

As so many others, I am also looking forward to the new release.
And so I read through some of the comments. After that, I decided not to ask about the release date.

Congratulations to your very friendly and tireless replies!
      With great respect.

      • Luke September 16, 2016 at 5:09 pm

        Hello Katharina!

Woo Hoo! We are also, words can’t describe how excited we are to get this release out in the wild 😀 We’re doing final testing now and are very close. Thank you for not asking about the release date 🙂

    62. Beaniie September 16, 2016 at 12:01 pm

I need to restrain my excitment waiting for ‘5.0‘. I’m still new to this fantastic bit of kit, and I’m still stumpling my way around the options menus, but I can say I’m interested to see how well all the updates improve the overal usability. Avada is already extreamely easy to use, if it’s made any easie you’ll be putting companies like squarespace out of a job. 😉

I will mention however, that a stronger post regarding the release date be issued and users and owners of Avada be kept in the loop a little more.

If I had to say what I’m looking foward to the most with the new ‘5.0‘ release, it would be the re-introduction of SVG’s.

      • Luke September 16, 2016 at 5:13 pm

        Hey Beaniie!

Thanks for the comments, we are humbled by your excitement and dedication to Avada 🙂

We do our best to keep our customers updated, and have updated the post as well in the setion that talks about beta testing and release times. Also, in our beta team, we keep them up to date with announcements, and we post in the Avada Facebook Users group. The only issue is that we cannot give an exact date until we are 100% certain we’ll be able to make it. That is something we made a mistake on earlier and exected it to be done by the beginning of August, but due to the natire of development, it changes quickly and every little thign affects the release date. So we’ve stopped doing that. But know that our entire team is working on it, and are making sure everything is good to go before we give it out.

If you would like to help us beta test new versions, you can always signup for beta testing here: https://theme-fusion.com/forums/topic/avada-beta-testing/

Yeah the SVG logo’s will be a nice feature, we’re most excited about the builder though, it’s a total remake and is seriously fun to use and has many time saving features.

    63. ronaute September 16, 2016 at 5:16 pm

The Avada team focus its efforts on one and unique product. I really appreciate that. I have always been greatly satisfied by the theme, the support, and the way it is developped. I prefer wait for a release than contact a support for a fonctionnality that have been partially made. Thank you Avada team for all the good work. That said, I’am really impatient to use it … 😉

      • Luke September 19, 2016 at 4:08 pm

        Thanks Ronaute, much appreciated!

    64. damien September 18, 2016 at 7:54 am

      Hi Luke,

Thanks for create this amazing theme.

Before the 5.0 is out, could you put online new demo in order to show possibility 🙂

Thanks a lot for your good job

      • Luke September 19, 2016 at 4:29 pm

We have to keep some stuff a surprise 🙂 They are online, but are in maintenance mode, you’ll be able to see them soon!

    65. Ewa September 19, 2016 at 1:48 pm

I’m considering buyin Avada theme and I’ve got few questions.

Famous here question: when will be Avada 5 available?
Is it possible to try avada somehow before buying? I’m not interested in demo mode. Or is it possible to return if it doesn’t work for me?
Is MailerLite plugin https://pl.wordpress.org/plugins/official-mailerlite-sign-up-forms/ compatible with avada?
I’ve learnt that is impossible to have avada for one basic licence on my domain and technical domain simultaneously. Is it possible to save eddited page as draft? Or is it any other way to deal with page under changes?
Has Avada any free images available that I can use? I’ve noticed some icons, but are there any free photos?

      • Luke September 19, 2016 at 4:28 pm

The famous question is not something we can answer 🙂 Well we can, but we’re staying away from it, it will be ready as soon as it’s ready! Which is soon.

There is currently no try before you buy methods that Envato offers. The theme can only be returned if it does not work as advertised. If you have troubles setting it up or can’t figure something out, we help you 🙂 We offer hands on support via our ticket center, and also have full online documentation, videos, etc.

We’ve not tried that plugin, however it should be fine. But we cannot guarantee a plugin works with Avada before purchase unless it is one we tested. That is true for any theme though, there are tens of thousands of plugins out there and all developed by different people. If there is an issuse and it’s on our end, we will notate it and fix it in an update.

Sure you can save pages as drafts, you can modify them as much as you need to and preview them, without them going live.

For demo images, see this page: https://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/how-to-get-stock-images-used-on-our-demo/

    66. Matt September 20, 2016 at 3:26 pm

      Hi Luke,

Please can you do some testing on the new Avada 5 version for exporting and importing theme styles. Ever since version 4 was released, I have tried to copy theme styles from previous websites I’ve made and tried to import them into the new site, to save time. But after trying all 3 ways nothing happens when I clicking on import. I followed these instructions. https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/install-update/backing-site-theme-options/

      Any ideas?

      • Luke September 20, 2016 at 5:19 pm

        Hi Matt!

We copy theme styles from one demo to the next almost weekly without issue. And have not ahd any reports of it from other customers. Please signup at our suppoirt area and submit a ticket with the details. Our support team will gladly help! 🙂

    67. André Cruz September 22, 2016 at 3:58 pm

Any news about the launch of version 5?

      • Luke September 25, 2016 at 3:46 pm

Yes, we give one every week in our beta group, and the Avada Users Facebook Group, you can get in the FaceBook Group here: https://theme-fusion.com/support/avada-community/

We also update the tops of the posts, for example read the part at the top of the post here: https://theme-fusion.com/important-changes-coming-in-avada-5-0/

Beta testing is going well and we are very close to the end. However we cannot give an exact ETA as we always make sure that a smooth release is our main priority. We’re very close and our nearly 350+ beta group is loving it. It’s coming along very nicely! 🙂

    68. Joe September 26, 2016 at 1:07 pm

Looking forward to experimenting with Avada in the near future.

One question… Are all your lovely demos achievable through the use of Fusion global settings alone?

      • Luke September 27, 2016 at 5:27 pm

        Hey Joe!

Nice to hear, yes you can import any demo (fully through our theme, or single page imports through Fusion Builder) in Avada 5.0

        • Joe September 28, 2016 at 4:41 pm

Thanks for your swift response Luke 🙂

I don’t think I was clear with my question 😉

Is it possible to recreate one of your demos without importing it and using only Fusion settings?

or would you need to create a theme child/ custom CSS?

          Hope that’s a bit clearer 😀

          • Luke September 28, 2016 at 5:28 pm

Oh yes for sure! That’s how our demos are made. We take fresh installs, and build them with our advanced options network … everything you see on our demos, are built with our options framework. That’s what makes Avada so powerful, customization options and our override system for globals vs individuals allows you to create beautiful professional sites without having to know how to code 🙂

            • Joe October 4, 2016 at 2:25 pm

              Thanks Luke 🙂

            • Luke October 4, 2016 at 6:10 pm

              Anytime 🙂

    69. mb September 27, 2016 at 3:19 pm

Are there any videos of the new fusion builder in action ?

      • Luke September 27, 2016 at 5:26 pm

At the moment no as it’s not been released yet.

    70. Tom September 28, 2016 at 1:47 am

I know you all are working hard on 5.0. One month ago our company froze all Avada development work in anticipation of the new release, so we do hope it will be released soon.

      • Luke September 28, 2016 at 2:06 am

        Hey Tom 🙂

Yes we are certainly working hard, around the clock in fact. You can continue to use Avada 4.0.3 for any type of development you need so that’s certainly a strange thing for them to do and does not make much sense 😀 Any version of Avada can still do pretty much whatever you need it to do as it has for 4 years.

5.0 will be released as soon as it is ready, no sooner and no later. And everyone will be thankful for it! Good things are happening 🙂

    71. Karen Morlatt September 29, 2016 at 7:16 pm

We have purchase a theme download – and it’s combine with the MAC theme too… every time we download and install it fails. We have no help to figure out why this is happening!

Hopefully, someone there can advise us!

      • Luke October 4, 2016 at 12:16 pm

        Hi Karen,

We do not support the MAC theme and I’m not sure what you mean by combining the themes. You can only use one theme at a time, but installing each one should not be a problem. If you are trying to install Avada, and need help, signup at our support site and submit a ticket: https://theme-fusion.com/support-ticket/

      • Luke October 4, 2016 at 12:15 pm

The moment it’s ready and not any sooner or later 🙂

    73. Eco October 5, 2016 at 11:54 pm

“Soon” should be in 1 week – not much more. I hope you can do that 🙂

      • Luke October 6, 2016 at 12:37 am

And I hope we do also, but I also hope you understand why we would not release it in a week if it’s not ready. Would you prefer something that we feel is ready, or not ready?

We will only release an update, regardless of the size, when everything is fully taken care of. We do this for our customers benefit, always have and always will for 4+ years 🙂

    74. Olaf Cavalcante October 7, 2016 at 6:39 am

And Thanks a Million for create this amazing theme. I Can Wait any more 🙂

      • Luke October 7, 2016 at 2:46 pm

You are most welcome and thank you for your support and dedication!

    75. R2S2 October 8, 2016 at 1:04 am

Looks impressive. ETA – are you talking about days, weeks or months?

      • Luke October 8, 2016 at 4:35 pm

Thanks, we’re super excited 🙂 Certainly not months, days/week

    76. Gabriel October 11, 2016 at 8:58 pm

      Hello Luke

¿Avada 5 will have option to disable sidebar widgets in mobile version?
What I do is that some widgets appear only on the desktop version, and disappear in mobile version.

      Thank you.

    77. Kelenwa October 13, 2016 at 7:34 am

Is so wonderful having Avada 5.0.1. Is so cool, sleek and awesome. Thanks guys for the great work. I am now having a rethink to out-rightly stick to Avada for now and future projects since I can achieve anything and any bespoke design of website design for prospective clients’ choice and idea of their website.

One of the exciting part is gallery option added to “Image Frame” element. I love it. Please, may I know or be directed on documentation on how I can put that gallery function to work?

      • Luke October 17, 2016 at 4:34 pm

Glad you like it 🙂 For image frame, just insert the same gallery name in the gallery id option field. Any image frame with the same gallery id name shows up in the same gallery.

For Avada support, please check out this link: https://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/getting-started/avada-theme-support/ … our support experts can help you out 🙂
